Citywide Office Moving & Relocation Services

The City of Austin is seeking a qualified contractor to provide citywide commercial moving and relocation services, including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and interim off-site storage. These services will be provided on an as-needed basis for all city departments for moves occurring within the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area. The scope of work includes the assembly and disassembly of modular furniture and requires the contractor to provide all supplies, with a strong preference for reusable plastic crates or recycled materials over one-time use cardboard. Award decisions may be based on the overall lowest cost for a single contract or divided into multiple awards across specific categories. Pricing must be all-inclusive, covering hourly rates for movers, drivers, supervisors, and installers during both regular and non-regular business hours, as well as equipment rentals and emergency services. Payment is issued within 30 calendar days of receipt of deliverables or invoice via credit card, check, or electronic funds transfer. Contractors must adhere to strict compliance standards, including the City of Austin Living Wage Program, which requires a minimum wage of 22.15 per hour for assigned employees, and the Wage Theft Prevention Employer Certification. Additionally, the contractor must comply with ADA and EEO regulations, OSHA safety standards, and city anti-idling rules. Bidders are required to submit their offers online by October 20, 2026, including a detailed price sheet, subcontracting plan, and mandatory certifications regarding debarment and conflicts of interest.
