The National Operations Center of the Department of the Interior is seeking office space in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the current lease for the Bureau of Land Management expires on May 31, 2025. The government requires contiguous office space between 44,823 and 55,000 ABOA square feet, including 213 parking spaces, within the city limits. The desired lease structure is a five-year term with one year firm, requiring 24/7 access and compliance with all federal, state, and local codes, including seismic and life safety regulations. Properties located in 100-year floodplains and sublease options will not be considered. The government is evaluating whether relocating is economically advantageous by weighing proposed rental rates against moving costs, tenant improvements, and potential service interruptions. While the initial solicitation sought new space for occupancy by June 1, 2025, subsequent justification documentation indicates a request for a sole-source lease extension for 60,485 RSF at the Three Gateway Building. This extension, starting June 1, 2024, for a term of three years with 18 months firm, is intended to prevent the duplication of relocation costs while the agency evaluates a potential transition to GSA-owned space.

Marsing, ID-office and related space

The U.S. Department of the Interior, through the Bureau of Land Management National Operations Center, is seeking office and wareyard space in Marsing, Idaho, to replace or extend an expiring lease under number L04PL00319. The requirement specifies exactly 3,360 ABOA square feet of contiguous office space located within the city limits of Marsing. The government is evaluating whether relocating to an alternative space is economically advantageous by weighing rental rates against moving costs, tenant improvements, and potential service interruptions. Properties located in 100 year floodplains will not be considered, and the selected site must provide 24/7 access and well-maintained vehicle access for employees and the public. The lease structure consists of a three year total term, with one year designated as firm. All necessary services, utilities, and tenant improvements must be included in the rental consideration, with a target occupancy date of November 1, 2019. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition was issued in May 2019 to facilitate a lease extension for the existing 3,360 square feet of space through October 31, 2022, providing the General Services Administration sufficient time to finalize a new lease acquisition and complete required tenant improvements. All offered spaces must comply with Federal, GSA, State, and local codes, including fire, life safety, ABAAS, OSHA, and seismic protection regulations.

Monticello, UT-Office and Related Space

The Department of the Interior, specifically the Bureau of Land Management through the National Operations Center, is seeking a lease extension for office and related space in Monticello, Utah, under lease number L08PL00469. The requirement specifies a total of 10,362 usable square feet, which includes 6,135 square feet of quality office space and 4,227 square feet of warehouse space, complemented by a 35,000 square foot wareyard area. The facility must provide 24/7 access, safe ingress and egress for vehicles, and must not be located within a 100-year floodplain. All utilities, services, and tenant improvements are to be included in the rental consideration. The government is pursuing a 60-month extension, with 36 months designated as a firm term, to maintain uninterrupted public services while a long-term lease is negotiated. While the primary goal is an extension, the government will consider relocation if it proves economically advantageous, factoring in costs for tenant improvements and furniture and data installation. Proposals are evaluated based on compliance with ABAAS accessibility standards, fire and life safety requirements, and seismic regulations. This procurement is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. section 3304 and GSAM 570.405.
