S--Operations & Maintenance, EPA Cincinnati Facilities

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Facilities Management and Services Division in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive on-site facility support services for five EPA facilities in the Cincinnati area. These services include the operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment, building alterations and repairs, computer-assisted drafting (CAD), and engineering documentation. Additional support functions, such as fire alarm maintenance, snow removal, window washing, pest control, waste removal, and engraving, are also required. The current support services are under an existing contract, and this new contract will continue similar work. The government plans to award a competitive 8(a) set-aside contract using a cost-plus-fixed-fee (level-of-effort) structure, with a twelve-month base period and four one-year options, totaling potentially five years. The base level of effort is estimated at 54,080 direct labor hours annually, with additional quantity options bringing the total potential labor hours over five years to 138,580. The solicitation, classified under NAICS code 561210, is expected to be released in mid to late May 2007, with submissions closing approximately 30 days afterward. Prospective offerors must monitor the EPA’s designated website for updates and amendments, as hard copies will not be distributed. The points of contact include David E. Boris and Contracting Officer Kathleen E. Roe.
