Rofin Flare Plus2 Forensic Light Kit including Pelican Case

Awarded on September 14, 2020, contract 70LGLY20PGLB00388 was granted to Safariland, LLC of Jacksonville, Florida, for a total value of 22,639.50 dollars. The contract was issued by the Department of Homeland Security through the FLETC Glynco Procurement Office in Brunswick, Georgia, for the procurement of two Rofin Flare Plus 2 PoliLight 8-head Forensic Light Kits, which include Pelican cases. This procurement was conducted as a brand name only acquisition under FAR 6.302-1, bypassing full and open competition. The justification for this specific brand selection was based on the requirements of partner organizations who integrated this equipment into training curricula, meaning any alternative brand would have necessitated expensive redesigns of existing instructional materials for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers.
