Awarded

Project Management Office Support for Intelligence Community Campus

The Virginia Contracting Authority has issued a Notice of Intent to award Option 2 for Project Management Office support at the Intelligence Community Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. This award, valued at 3,500,000 dollars, is granted to Markon, a small business, under Task Order Number 2 of the competitively awarded IDIQ contract HHM402-10-D-0034. The decision to exercise this option for 2011 is based on a best value technical and price evaluation and the vendor's satisfactory performance during the previous year. The government determined that exercising the option is the most advantageous approach to ensure the continuity of mission critical services and avoid the substantial costs associated with service disruptions. It was concluded that a new solicitation would not yield a more favorable price or a better offer given the short timeframe and the importance of maintaining current operations. This notice serves as an announcement of intent and is not a request for proposals or a solicitation for offers.

Carr at the Virginia Contracting Activity in Washington, D.C.
