Y--Leadville Water Treatment Plant

The Department of the Interior, through the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, is conducting market research for the Leadville Water Treatment Plant Replacement project under solicitation number 140R6023R0024 and NAICS code 237110. This initiative follows the cancellation of a previous solicitation in August 2023. The project scope involves the construction of a new 3.2 MGD water treatment plant and the demolition of the existing facility, including specific technical requirements such as waterline boring, retaining wall design, and PLC updates. To inform the acquisition strategy, the agency issued a Request for Information and hosted an Industry Day event from October 17 to 19, 2023, featuring one-on-one meetings at the Denver Federal Center and site visits to review critical infrastructure and offsite work locations. The agency is seeking industry input on technical challenges, location-specific hurdles, and teaming capabilities to refine the procurement process. A formal Request for Proposal is projected for release in Spring 2024.
