The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has decided to proceed with a sole-source modification to the existing contract 692M15-21-D-00004 for Pavement Consultants, increasing the total contract ceiling from approximately $8.8 million to nearly $9.9 million. This adjustment is intended to fund the continued work under the current contract without opening the opportunity for competitive bidding. The announcement clarifies that this is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposal, reflecting the FAA’s intent to follow Acquisition Management System Policy 3.2.2.4 in handling this procurement. The contract is managed by the AAQ600 692M15 Acquisition & Grants office of the Department of Transportation, located in Atlantic City, NJ. The designated point of contact for this action is Karen Thorngren, who can be reached via email. The sole-source modification enables the FAA to maintain project continuity and streamline administrative procedures by avoiding a competitive procurement process for this specific contract adjustment.
