Mobile Modular Surveillance Plaform Maintenance

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) plans to negotiate a sole source contract with International Surveillance Technology, Inc. for repair, maintenance, and replacement of electronic equipment supporting its mobile surveillance program. Given that International Surveillance Technology owns the proprietary rights to the specific equipment and is uniquely qualified to maintain it, they are considered the only responsible source for providing these services. The anticipated contract is a cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) agreement initially awarded for one year, with four subsequent one-year renewal options. This procurement is conducted without a formal solicitation or request for proposals. The contract, titled "Mobile Modular Surveillance Platform Maintenance," falls under the NAICS code 334310 and will be managed through the Department of Justice Headquarters located in Springfield, VA. The actual work performance is set to take place in Lorton, VA. Key points of contact include Linda Applewhite, Contract Specialist, and Troy Teachey, Contracting Officer, both accessible via email and telephone. This arrangement underscores the DEA's reliance on a single vendor due to proprietary ownership and technical exclusivity surrounding the mobile surveillance equipment.
