Invitation to July 27 Public Meeting on Development of NRC's FY 2018-2022 Strategic Plan

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking input from stakeholders and the public as it develops its Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2018 to 2022. This plan aims to outline key challenges, long-term strategies, performance expectations, and will serve as a foundation for the agency's annual budget and performance plans. To gather valuable perspectives, the NRC is hosting a public meeting on July 27, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time at its headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, with a webinar option available for remote participants. Interested parties are encouraged to RSVP via email, and those unable to attend can still provide input by requesting discussion topics from NRC contacts and submitting their feedback accordingly. Additionally, there will be opportunities to review and comment on the draft plan before its finalization. The invitation emphasizes involvement from knowledgeable individuals within organizations familiar with the NRC’s work to ensure comprehensive feedback. Participants are referred to a “Strategic Plan At-A-Glance” brochure for context on the current plan’s structure and contents. The process is designed to be inclusive and transparent, ensuring that the NRC’s strategic direction reflects broad stakeholder input. For further information or to submit responses, points of contact have been provided, and the meeting details plus related resources are accessible through official channels.
