No More Frozen Agent Chats β Plus a Context Usage Indicator π€
Fixed silent freezes in long/complex agent conversations, added a context usage pill so you always know how much room is left, and unlocked proper handling of large spreadsheets.

If you've ever started a complex chat with the CLEATUS Agent β something like building a full bid sheet from a spreadsheet β and had it silently freeze halfway through, this fix is for you.
What Was Broken
Long or complex agent chats were hitting the AI's memory limit in a way that was invisible to users. The AI would stop responding, the spinner would keep spinning, and nothing would indicate what went wrong. You'd end up refreshing the page and losing your work.
What's Fixed
No more frozen chats
The AI now handles context limits gracefully instead of freezing. Live on Contract AI, Contract Search, and Government agents now β other agent contexts coming next.
Context usage pill
A small indicator now appears next to the send button showing how much of the AI's context window you've used:
- Under 50%: Shows a subtle percentage so you're aware
- 50β79% (amber): Shows "replies may be shorter" β the AI is getting full but still functional
- 80%+ (red): Shows "start a new chat for best results" β time to open a fresh conversation
Large spreadsheets actually work
The AI can now handle large data files (Excel, CSV) without running into the context ceiling. Drop in a big spreadsheet and ask questions about it β it works.
Why It Matters
Invisible failures are the worst kind. A frozen chat with no explanation forces you to guess whether you should wait, refresh, or start over. The context indicator makes the situation legible, and the freeze fix means complex work sessions actually complete instead of dropping into a void.
