Federal grant opportunities are coming to CLEATUS 🌱
We've connected CLEATUS to Grants.gov — ingesting open opportunities and forecasted funding so you can see what's available now and plan for what's coming.

Hey everyone! We've just added a significant new data source to CLEATUS: Grants.gov, the federal government's central hub for grant opportunities, is now being ingested into the platform. This is the first step toward making grants a first-class opportunity type alongside contracts.
What's New
CLEATUS now pulls data from Grants.gov, including both open grant opportunities and forecasted future funding. Each grant record carries richer detail than a typical contract listing — program numbers, funding type, eligible applicant types, and award ranges — so you'll have the context you need to evaluate fit quickly.
How It Works
Open grants and forecasts
- 📅 Open grant opportunities are ingested as they're published on Grants.gov
- 🔮 Forecasted grants are also captured — so you can see funding that's expected to become available before it officially opens
- Planning your capture strategy months in advance just got easier
Richer grant detail
Each grant record includes:
- CFDA program numbers — the federal catalog identifier that connects grants to their parent program
- Funding type — so you know whether you're looking at a grant, cooperative agreement, or other award vehicle
- Eligible applicant types — nonprofits, small businesses, state/local governments, and more
- Award ranges — floor and ceiling amounts, plus expected number of awards, so you can gauge the opportunity size before diving in
A heads-up on timing
This update brings grants data into CLEATUS at the data layer — meaning the information is flowing and ready. The in-app surfaces where you browse and filter opportunities are still being updated to display grants alongside contracts. We'll announce that as soon as it's live. More grant sources are also on the way to enrich this new opportunity type further.
Why It Matters
Many govcon contractors are leaving federal grant money on the table simply because grants live on a different platform and require different search habits. By pulling Grants.gov directly into CLEATUS, you'll eventually be able to search grants and contracts in one place — with the same filters, the same recommendation engine, and the same pipeline management tools you already use. This data layer work is the foundation for all of that.
Get Started
Stay tuned — the grant browsing experience will roll out in the app shortly. In the meantime, your Capture Profile is already being used to match you against the incoming grant data. The better your profile, the better your grant recommendations will be when they appear. Visit cleat.ai/features/opportunity-discovery to make sure your profile is in good shape.
Happy hunting! 🎯
