Protect your CLEATUS account with a second sign-in step, or skip passwords entirely with a passkey that is simple and secure.

Sign in with a passkey or authenticator app ๐Ÿ”

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ We've added two new ways to protect your CLEATUS account: authenticator apps and passkeys. Add a second step with a 6-digit code, or skip the password entirely and sign in with Touch ID, Face ID, a security key, or your password manager.

What's New

Authenticator apps and passkeys are now available in My Account. Connect an app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password, or Authy, and CLEATUS will ask for a code when you sign in with your password or an emailed code. Or add a passkey and sign in without a password or code to type.

How It Works

Add an authenticator app

  • Open your profile menu and choose "Edit Profile" to go to My Account
  • Click "Set up an authenticator app" and scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  • Save your recovery codes somewhere safe, then enter one 6-digit code to confirm
  • The next time you sign in with your password or an emailed code, enter the code from your app

Add a passkey

  • In My Account, click "Add a passkey"
  • Give your passkey a name so you can recognize it later
  • Confirm on your device with Touch ID, Face ID, a security key, or your password manager
  • On your next visit, choose "Sign in with a passkey" on the sign-in page

Keep a way back in

  • If you lose access to your phone, choose "Use a recovery code" instead of entering an authenticator code
  • Store your recovery codes securely when you set up your authenticator app

Why It Matters

Your CLEATUS account holds your pipeline, proposals, and capture plans. A second sign-in step means a stolen password alone cannot open your account. Passkeys go further by removing the password from the sign-in process, while only working on the devices and services you approve.

Get Started

Open your profile menu, choose "Edit Profile," and look for the "Authenticator app" and "Passkey" rows in My Account. Set up the option that fits how you sign in, and save your recovery codes before you finish.

Happy hunting! ๐Ÿ”
