See what changed between proposal versions ๐Ÿ”

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ We've added change tracking to Version History in the Proposal Writer. You can now review the content changes between saved versions of a Word document or spreadsheet before restoring one, so your team can make edits with confidence.

What's New

Change tracking in Version History shows the content differences between two saved versions of a proposal file. Word documents highlight added words in green and removed words in red, while spreadsheets shade changed cells and show the old and new values beside the grid. Formatting-only changes, such as bold text or cell styles, are not highlighted.

How It Works

Compare saved versions

  • Open a proposal in the Proposal Writer and click the clock icon for Version history
  • Pick any saved version, then use Compare with to choose a baseline
  • Choose Previous version to see what changed in that version, or Latest version to compare it with the most recent saved version
  • In Word documents, review additions and removals directly in the file
  • In spreadsheets, look for shaded cells and the old and new values beside the grid

Find the right draft

  • Use Older and Newer to move through the saved versions without leaving the comparison
  • Review the changes before you decide which version belongs in your proposal
  • Click Restore this version when you find the draft you want
  • Your current version stays in Version History, so you can return to it if needed

Why It Matters

Proposal files change quickly, especially when your team and CLEATUS are working together. Comparing two files side by side can make small edits easy to miss, and restoring a version without reviewing it first can create more work. Change tracking gives you a clear look at added and removed content, so you can keep the right language, recover an earlier draft, and keep your response moving.

Get Started

Open any proposal in the Proposal Writer, click the clock icon, and choose a saved version. Select Compare with to see the changes before you restore it.

Happy reviewing! โœ
