The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses to provide Reduced Representation Bisulfite Sequencing services for a neurodegenerative disease research program involving approximately 269 de-identified human post-mortem choroid plexus tissue samples. The scope includes comprehensive sample handling and quality control, bisulfite conversion, library preparation, Illumina paired-end sequencing generating about 30 million read pairs per sample, and downstream bioinformatics analysis such as raw data alignment, methylation calling, and genome browser track generation, with an expected turnaround time of six to eight weeks.
