SMOKY HILL LLC

Smoky Hill LLC specializes in heavy civil engineering construction with a focused expertise in hydraulic infrastructure resilience, particularly in dam and outlet channel systems. Their work centers on erosion control, channel stabilization, and the construction of durable access infrastructure to support long-term maintenance operations. Drawing from recent performance, they deliver engineered solutions for outlet channel rehabilitation that integrate structural reinforcement, sediment management, and hydrologic continuity—ensuring safe and sustainable water release under variable flow conditions. Their technical proficiency includes site-specific geotechnical adaptation, concrete and riprap placement, and the implementation of permanent access structures designed for operational longevity under demanding environmental loads. The company has demonstrated direct experience supporting the Department of Defense, delivering mission-critical civil works projects tied to water resource infrastructure at defense installations. Their engagement with DoD reflects a capability to operate under strict security, environmental, and operational constraints typical of federal defense facilities, suggesting familiarity with military engineering standards and regulatory compliance frameworks for infrastructure in sensitive locations. Smoky Hill LLC’s primary industry focus is under NAICS 237990, which encompasses specialized heavy civil construction beyond traditional road or bridge work—specifically, complex water control and hydraulic structures. This positions them as a niche provider in dam safety and outlet system modernization, serving federal agencies requiring precision-engineered solutions for aging or high-risk water infrastructure. Their market niche lies in the intersection of environmental engineering and structural durability, targeting clients managing critical water conveyance systems. As a small business structured as a 2K entity based in Salina, Kansas, Smoky Hill LLC operates with a regional footprint but delivers services on nationally significant defense infrastructure projects. While they currently hold no formal government certifications, their project execution reflects a disciplined approach to civil construction standards, positioning them as a reliable contractor for technically complex, low-volume, high-impact federal engineering tasks.
