The Immigration and Naturalization Service plans to procure 600 units each of specific Remington 12 gauge model 870 shotgun parts, including 14-inch barrels with tritium sights, stock bolts, breech bolt assemblies, action bars, and trigger plate assemblies. These components will be purchased exclusively from Remington Arms Company through a sole source commercial contract, based on the FAR 6.302-1 authority that recognizes only one responsible source capable of meeting their needs. Additionally, magazine extensions with springs and ghost ring sights with tritium inserts are to be acquired separately from Wilson Combat-Scattergun Technologies. No formal solicitation will be issued as this is not a request for competitive proposals; however, entities capable of supplying these parts are invited to notify the contract specialist within 15 days of the announcement. While the government is not obligated to compete the requirement, any proposals received within the deadline will be considered to determine whether a competitive procurement is warranted. The decision to maintain the sole source procurement rests solely with the government, and any submissions received will be evaluated only for this purpose.
