The Competition Advocates Shopping List (CASL) at Redstone Arsenal has been updated to include projected procurements for Aviation and Missile commodities over the next five years, covering spare and repair parts, maintenance and overhaul, and major items and services. The updated CASL provides valuable information to both the contracting and Redstone communities, including details on consumable items transferred to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for fiscal year 2010, with relevant contact points and telephone numbers. Users seeking access to technical drawings for certain National Stock Numbers (NSNs) with specific distribution codes ('A' for public release and 'C' for distribution to government agencies and contractors) can now request access through a one-time login process requiring their company’s Joint Certification Number and DD-2345 expiration date. Controlled access to government-owned technical data and drawings is also available at the Reading Room located at Redstone Arsenal. Significant updates have also been made to the Maintenance and Overhaul Source Approval Request (SAR) guidelines, which now include a new Source Approval Prioritization Process, SAR preparation and submission guidance, briefing charts, and process requirements organized by CASL category. Additionally, there is an updated SAR Prioritization Process specific to spare and repair part requests. These resources are accessible online through the Redstone CMO website, and the office encourages feedback to further enhance site usability. The Competition Management Office continues to support transparent procurement activities and technical data management to facilitate contracting and supplier engagement within the Department of Defense community.
