14--MK 125 Mod 1 Warhead, Empty Assembly

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to issue a sole source Request for Proposal (RFP N00024-03-R-5327) to Alliant Techsystems, Inc. for the procurement of approximately 1,327 MK125 MOD 1 Warhead, Empty Assemblies, spares, and associated data to support the STANDARD Missile Program. This procurement covers firm requirements for the fiscal year 2003 and includes option quantities extending through fiscal years 2003 to 2005. Alliant Techsystems is identified as the only supplier with the necessary technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities to fulfill the production requirements efficiently and cost-effectively. The contract will be awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), allowing for a sole source acquisition due to the unique qualifications of the contractor.
