The Naval Air Systems Command plans to award a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Systems Integration in Owego, New York, to support the acquisition and sustainment of MH-60R air weapons systems for fiscal years 2007 through 2011. This contract is expected to be a five-year, firm-fixed price multiyear contract covering Lots 5 through 9, or a multiple year contract if congressional approval for multiyear is not granted. It encompasses the production, delivery, and productionization of approximately 141 MH-60R systems, including hardware and software deficiency corrections, sustaining engineering to address technology updates and obsolescence, logistics, technical support, repair of components, special tooling, test equipment, and provision of administrative, technical, and financial documentation. An Advance Acquisition Contract will also be issued to secure long lead materials and related efforts in support of this procurement. The procurement will be conducted under statutory authority that permits other than full and open competition, as Lockheed Martin remains the sole manufacturer and developer capable of meeting the Government’s technical and timely delivery requirements for these air weapons systems. The contract supports maintenance and project management functions, as well as the supply of MH-60R and MH-60S common spare parts. For small business subcontracting opportunities, Lockheed Martin has a designated contact. The Naval Air Systems Command oversees the process, and contract specialists are available for inquiries.
