** PREVIOUS MODIFICATION 01 TO THIS POSTING IS HEREBY RESCENDED AND REPLACED WITH THE BELOW** KC-135 AIRCRAFT EXTENSION PROGRAM (AEP) INCREMENT I, BLOCK 45 MODIFICATION PROGRAM The 551 Aircraft Sustainment Squadron (ACSS), 827th Aircraft Sustainment Group (827 ACSG), Tinker AFB OK, is submitting an industry notification for the Block 45 Modification Program. FOR PLANNING PURPOSES The purpose of this notification is to provide industry with information regarding the status of the Block 45 Modification Program. To this point the Air Force has issued several Requests For Information (RFI)?s and held one industry day. The Air Force is aware and appreciates the extensive efforts industry has put forth in developing responses and researching solutions for the RFI?s and the previously anticipated Request For Proposal (RFP) in Nov 08. The Air Force is now asking any efforts industry is putting forth towards a Block 45 solution be temporarily suspended. The Air Force is reassesing the Block 45 contents. The Air Force anticipates program will remain an Acquistion Catergory (ACAT) III program managed at OC-ALC by the 551 ACSS. GENERAL INFORMATION As soon as the Air Force determines the contents of the program, an RFI will be released on FedBizOpps webpage (http://www.fbo.gov) for elements of the solicitation and intends to host another industry day prior to releasing draft and final RFPs. This industry notification is not to be construed as a formal solicitation (Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a RFP). The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice. This notice is for information and planning purposes only. The Government will not provide reimbursement of costs associated with any documentation or communication submitted in response to this notice. Any documentation submitted, becomes the property of the U.S. Government, and will not be returned. Therefore, any information that is deemed proprietary should not be submitted.
