16 -- ENGINEERING SERVICES

The purpose of this task is to provide for contractor AN/ALR-56M Engineering Services Support. The scope of the task includes providing on-call sustaining support. The contractor shall also provide management and engineering resources for response to ALR 56M tasks authorized in writing by USAF Program Manger. This is a sole source requirement to BAE cage code: 81413. Period of Performance Basic year: 12 months, with two option years. See notes 22, and 26. No telephone requests will be accepted. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor is acceptable. The responsible source solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation that will be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C 2304(C)(1). Justification: The services required are available from only one, or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for updates for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement at a later date. Security clearances will be required for all bidders or Offers. This acquisition does involve technology that has a military or space application. The only U.S. contractors who may participate are those that are certified and registered with DLSC (1-800-352-3572) and have a legitimate business purpose. U.S. contractors must submit a copy of their current, approved DD Form 2345 with their request for solicitation. No foreign participation in this acquisition will be allowed.
