The Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base intends to award a sole source procurement to Ruska Instrument Corporation for a Ruska 2465 Pressure Controller system. This procurement includes six key components: the Auto float Compatible Instrument Base with bell jar and motor drive, the Auto float Controller with calibration software and adapter kit, the Auto float Sleeve Mass compatible with existing mass sets, a Lines & Fittings Kit containing all necessary tubing and fittings, a Vacuum Sensor Kit for monitoring bell jar vacuum, and a Laboratory Environment Monitor that tracks barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity with software for data logging and a NIST traceable calibration certificate. The system must meet exact form, fit, and function requirements, utilizing existing calibrated weights and vacuum pumps. The intended sole source award is based on Ruska Instrument Corporation being the only known supplier capable of meeting the government’s precise requirements. Responses from other interested parties willing to meet these specifications are invited in writing by a specified deadline, but the agency retains full discretion to proceed with the sole source acquisition if no suitable alternatives are presented. The expected delivery timeline for the equipment is 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of order, ensuring compatibility and integration with existing calibration and vacuum systems at the base. The point of contact for this procurement is Kimberly Rabatin at Edwards AFB.
