16--TUBE, DRAIN

The contract involves the procurement of a single unit of an Aircraft Drain Tube, identified by NSN 1R-1680-LLF02M322-P8 and part number LLF02M322, intended for the P-8 aircraft. This acquisition will be conducted on a sole source basis with McMaster-Carr Supply Co., the original equipment manufacturer and the only known supplier authorized to provide spare parts for this item. The government does not possess the data rights necessary to procure this part from alternate sources, leading to a non-competitive solicitation under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302. Although the solicitation targets a single source, all interested and capable firms may submit capability statements or proposals within 45 days for consideration; however, the government intends to award to McMaster-Carr. The contract is managed by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia, with the solicitation expected to be posted on or about May 6, 2026, and a closing date around June 6, 2026. The contract duration will be one year, and procurement will follow FAR Part 15 procedures rather than commercial item acquisition policies.
