Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.106-1(b)- Soliciting From A Single Source and FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Kentucky Air National Guard Special Tactics Squadron, 1101 Grade lane Louisville, KY 40213 has a requirement to procure the following items: The following service is being requested for Purchase (Must have the following specifications): Item 0001: Upgrade to Greenough Advanced Rescue Craft (GARC)-1 EA): 302001 C3 System Hardware 1 TSI MAVRCS Mapping and Visualization System Provided with Ruggedized Tablet and Docking Station for GARC, Ready to Integrate with attached GFE 402001 Installation of C3 System 2 Technicians to install required shelving for GFE and completing installation of C3 system and interconnecting wiring for operation 501001 Re-covering and reconditioning seats Re-upholster seats and repair/replace padding and bonding materials as necessary 602001 Transportation of GARC Pick up at KY ANG (require fork truck load support)Return to KY ANG (require fork truck offload) Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, quote mark Only one responsible source and no other will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, sole source contract to Southwestern Industries, Inc. Southwestern has the proprietary rights to and are the sole manufacturer and distributor of the equipment. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 and the Business Size Standard is $14,000,000.00M. Maritime Applied Physics Corporation (MAPC) currently has the contract for 16 EA Greenbough Advanced Rescue Craft (GARC), the item above are custom refurbish for the GARC. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Time, Monday, August 26th, 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
