The Bureau of Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Dams Office intends to award a sole source purchase order to Las Vegas Boat Harbor for support related to replacing the existing lakeside vessel barrier at Lake Mead. Las Vegas Boat Harbor is uniquely positioned as the exclusive marina concessioner authorized by the National Park Service, with exclusive rights to operate and manage activities within the marina and surrounding area. Because they control access and services in this space, no other vendors are considered capable of meeting the agency’s requirements, justifying the noncompetitive procurement. The contract is planned to be a firm fixed price agreement with an anticipated award date of August 31, 2015, and a completion date of November 30, 2015. Though this is a sole source action, the agency invites any interested and capable sources to submit capability statements or proposals by August 21, 2015, for consideration in future solicitations. The project falls under NAICS code 336611 for Ship Building and Repairing, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. All award details and justification for the sole source action will be publicly posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website following contract award. Questions regarding the acquisition may be addressed to the agency contact specified by the Bureau of Reclamation.
