This unrestricted procurement is a firm fixed price supply contract for critical component parts for reduction gears installed on POLAR class icebreakers. The required items include a disconnect coupling hub, flange, sleeve, floating seal ring, shifting spider, sliding bearing, split O-ring, and oil seal retainer plate. Because these parts must be exactly compatible with existing Philadelphia Gear Company equipment to ensure safe operation, the government emphasizes that only the original equipment manufacturer or authorized distributors, or other sources capable of manufacturing to OEM specifications, should apply. No drawings or schematics are provided by the agency as they are proprietary. Quotations must be submitted by March 7, 2003, and include detailed pricing per CLIN, proposed delivery timelines, taxpayer and DUNS identification, and evidence of past successful manufacture to OEM specifications. Evaluation will be based on a combination of past performance and price, with small-disadvantaged business participation as a secondary factor. All items must be delivered to the USCG Naval Engineering Support Unit in Seattle, Washington, no later than July 11, 2003.
