Full Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U. S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to award on a sole source requirement under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 with Fresenius USA, 2637 Shadelands Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94598, for the procurement of three (3) 2008T dialysis systems with acetic acid/vinegar jugs. This requirement is to replace aged machines due to extensive usage. Fifty-three (53) Fresenius 2008T with only three (3) Fresenius 2008K dialysis systems remaining. These machines are in operation six days each week. The additional dialysis machines will replace the aged 2008K machines due to extensive usage. This system allows for the gathering of all aspects of the patient's treatment which monitors and stores critical information in a unique hardware and software system designed specifically for the Fresenius 2008T dialysis machines. Due to the specific hardware and software configurations that are unique to Fresenius, this Sole Source notice is being issued. The procurement will be for a firm-fixed priced purchase order. Any firm who believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, 8:00 a.m. (CST). Supporting documentation must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated and considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Fresenius, USA. Responses should be emailed to contact@example.gov by the deadline above. All vendors are hereby notified if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered.
