The 2017 Domestic Capability Priorities Conference, organized by the Air National Guard under the National Guard Bureau, is scheduled to take place in Colorado Springs, Colorado during the week of May 1, 2016. This event gathers field-level experts who assess and prioritize domestic capability shortfalls relevant to the Air National Guard. Their findings are presented to senior leadership, with verified and validated needs potentially moving forward as procurement candidates, primarily funded through the National Guard and Reserve Equipment Account. The conference includes vendor exhibitions on the evenings of May 1 and 2, allowing industry representatives to showcase their products and solutions to government personnel. However, vendors are limited to exhibit areas and are not permitted access to government breakout sessions or individual briefings. This conference serves as an information-sharing platform rather than a solicitation or procurement event, with no commitments or liabilities assumed by the government for vendor participation costs. Vendors interested in attending may contact the designated hotel and conference services coordinators to secure accommodations and exhibit space, identifying themselves as Air National Guard vendors. The event is managed under the Department of Defense at the USA National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, Virginia, with the official point of contact being Randall Wilson. The primary goal of the conference is to align ANG domestic capabilities with emerging needs through collaborative assessment and industry engagement.
