The City of Buena Park (City) is seeking an engineering consultant to prepare a Water Master Plan (WMP). The previous WMPs were prepared by Corollo Engineers in 2005 and AKM Consulting Engineers in 2019. The City encourages consultants to review this document completely.The purpose of the Water Master Plan is to understand present conditions of water supply and demand, to identify efficiencies that can be achieved, and to take steps through the comprehensive planning and development review process to encourage best management practices for water demand management, water efficiency and water conservation. It is intended that the Water Master Plan will also provide the basis for review of the proposed water supply for new development at an earlier stage of the development process.A copy of the City’s existing GIS database will be provided for integration with the new hydraulic model. The new water modeling software for this RFP will be based on the Consultant’s recommendation and City’s selection.
