The 2025 GPO Accreditation Program established by the University of Texas System aims to identify and certify qualifying group purchasing organizations, including Texas State Agencies performing GPO functions, as authorized suppliers of GPO services to UT System institutions. Organizations seeking accreditation must first receive a nomination from a chief procurement officer within a UT System institution, demonstrating that they meet the specified “value component test” outlined in the Operating Procedures. Only those organizations that successfully obtain and maintain accreditation will be eligible to provide GPO services to UT System or its affiliated entities. The application process requires submission of materials by 3 pm Austin time on August 1, 2025. The program is part of a solicitation with the number 720-2516, posted on June 3, 2025, with a response deadline of July 3, 2025. The contract size ranges from five to fifteen million dollars, reflecting the significant scope of GPO services anticipated. The University of Texas System, a State-Led Education Department (SLED), oversees this initiative, with primary contact being Paul Steinkraus, reachable via email or phone. Interested parties can find additional details and submit their responses through the designated online portal.
