ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS   2026 – 2028 ROADWAY STRIPING FOR THE CITY OF YOUNGSVILLE, LOUISIANA   Sealed bids will be received by the City of Youngsville at any time or day prior to, but no later than August 11, 2026 central standard time on 11:00 am for the above listed project.   The project scope includes pavement striping in various areas of the City of Youngsville on an as needed basis for a three-year period of time.  The initial striping consists of more than 40,000 linear feet of combined 4”, 8” and 12” yellow and white striping, The work shall also include as identified symbols and lettering.   Bids may be mailed to City of Youngsville, Attn:  Nicole Guidry, Municipal Clerk, 201 Iberia Street, Youngsville, LA 70592, or delivered between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on any working day prior to the bid opening.    Complete Bid documents may be obtained from McBade Engineers & Consultants located at 327 Iberia Street, Suite 5, Youngsville Louisiana, 70592, phone 337-451-5823 at a cost of $50 with checks made payable to McBade Engineers & Consultants. Bid documents may also be viewed, downloaded, and submitted online at www.centralbidding.com until the deadline listed below.   There will be no mandatory pre-bid conference.   All bids with a properly executed envelope, will be opened publicly, and read aloud on August 11, 2026, at 11:00 am in the City of Youngsville City Hall, located at 201 Iberia Street, Youngsville, Louisiana.  The construction cost estimate will be read aloud upon opening of bids.   The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.   No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.   The Contractor shall obtain, maintain during the life of the project, and provide to the Owner copies of the following bonds and policies which shall be obtained from surety companies which appear on the U.S. Treasury Circular 570, licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana, in the amounts and for the purpose stated and subject to the Owner’s approval.   1.         BID BOND:  A "Bid Guarantee" equivalent to 5% of the bid price consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, money order or other negotiable instrument, shall accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified.   2.         PERFORMANCE BOND:  A performance bond of not less than 100% of the contract price shall be executed to assure the Contractor's faithful performance of the contract.   3.         PAYMENT BOND:  A payment bond of not less than 100% of the contract price shall be executed to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the performance of the work provided by the contract.   Only the bids of contractors licensed under Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing Law R.S. 37:2150-2173 will be considered for bids exceeding $50,000.00.  Should the bid exceed $50,000.00, contractors desiring to bid shall submit evidence that they hold license of proper classification of “Municipal and Public Works Construction” in full force and effect at the time drawings, specifications and forms are requested from the office of the Engineers.    Contract documents may be obtained at the office of McBade Engineers & Consultants, LLC, 327 Iberia Street, Suite 5, Youngsville, Louisiana 70592, Phone Number (337) 451-5823, upon payment of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each complete set.  Deposits on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids.  On other sets of documents furnished to bidders, the deposit (less actual cost of reproduction) will be refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids.  They will not be mailed without such a request.  Plans and specifications shall be available until twenty-four (24) hours before the bid opening date.   If there are any questions regarding bidding procedures, contact McBade Engineers & Consultants, LLC, Project Engineer at (337) 451-5823.   KEN RITTER MAYOR   Publication Dates:  July 14, 21 & 28, 2026
