2026-36 CFD Diesel Exhaust Extraction System

The City of Charleston, West Virginia, is soliciting quotes for solicitation 2026-36 to purchase and install fully automatic diesel exhaust extraction systems at nine Charleston Fire Department locations, including the Training Center. The scope of work involves the demolition and disposal of existing equipment and the installation of new hose assemblies, exhaust fans, wireless controls, and tailpipe adapters. The project must be completed within 182 calendar days of the award. Because the procurement is funded in whole or in part by a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant, it is subject to 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance, the Davis-Bacon Act for prevailing wages, and the Build America, Buy America Act regarding domestic content. Bidders must have attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting on October 1, 2026, and submit their responses by October 21, 2026. Required submission documents include a 5% bid bond, a BABA self-certification, and a list of subcontractors performing over $25,000 of work. The successful vendor will be required to provide performance and labor/material payment bonds for 100% of the contract value.
