2026 Abbott Street St Sanitary Sewer and Pavement Improvements Project, CIP No. 9981

The City of Salinas is forecasting the 2026 Abbott Street Sanitary Sewer and Pavement Improvements Project, identified as CIP No. 9981. This infrastructure project focuses on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of approximately seven linear lane miles of pavement, covering 16,427 square yards. The scope includes the removal and replacement of failed asphalt sections, aggregate base repairs, the application of a two inch rubberized asphalt concrete overlay, and the implementation of 18 inch cement treated Full Depth Reclamation of existing base and native materials. Additionally, the project involves updating street striping and replacing signs and signposts as required. Concurrent with the roadwork, the project entails significant utility upgrades, including the upsizing of 2,900 linear feet of sanitary sewer main lines and the abandonment of select existing mainlines. The contract also covers the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes to ensure system efficiency.
