AVONDALE BOROUGH 2026 PAVEMENT REPAIR PROJECT
The project consists of milling and overlaying approximately 1.42 miles of asphalt roadway and the construction of eight (8) ADA concrete curb ramps, as shown on the plans.
All documents and details are available at PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/portal/). The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of regular plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. Neither the Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from other sources other than the designated website.
PennBid is free for all vendors to access and submit bids. Only vendors awarded a contract are assessed a fee; for current fee information, visit https://pennbid.net/vendor-bidder-information/.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of Avondale Borough or a Bid Bond in favor of Avondale Borough in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
The work in connection with this project constitutes Public Work by a Public Body under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project.
The awarded contractor shall also provide a performance and payment bond provided equal to 100% of the contract price.
No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of the bid opening.
