Fisherman’s Terminal (FT) Entry and Exit Paving RedevelopmentThe Fishermen’s Terminal Entry Redevelopment Project will comprehensively upgrade the entry and exit drives along 19th Ave W, the former Downie Building C-14 footprint, and surrounding parking areas. Existing deteriorated pavement will be milled and overlaid, while stormwater systems will be fully replaced and expanded to divert runoff from combined sewer lines to dedicated storm drains, with water quality treatment incorporated where qualifying surfaces are replaced. The remaining slab from Phase 1 will be demolished and reconfigured into a mix of new parking spaces and green space designed as a pollinator habitat, potentially integrating a stormwater treatment facility. A new irrigation system will support the landscaping, including the median along the entry drive, and electric vehicle charging stations will be installed in the newly configured parking area. Protected two-way bike lanes will be added to connect the terminal entry directly to the existing West Wall bike path, enhancing active transportation access. Pedestrian connectivity will be improved with safer routes to the intersection of 21st Ave W and W Emerson Pl, as well as to the nearby King County Metro bus stop. Lighting will be upgraded throughout the new parking area and along the pedestrian and bike path corridors to ensure safety and visibility. Comprehensive wayfinding signage will be installed to guide pedestrians and cyclists through the redeveloped zone. The project is managed by the Port of Seattle through its Waterfront Project Management office, with a NAICS code of 237310, and is scheduled for release in mid-2026.
