Sealed bids will be received for the 2026 Road Improvement Project by the Nesquehoning Borough Council online via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/) until 11:00 AM August 25, 2026 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and the results publicly displayed online at (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/). Bids will be reviewed and considered at the regular meeting of the Nesquehoning Borough Council to be held on August 26, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Nesquehoning Borough Hall.
Contract Documents for the work are on file and can be obtained electronically from PennBid for no cost. A fee for the documents, postage and handling will be charged to bidders wishing to receive a hard copy which can be ordered via the PennBid portal.
Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work must be completed prior to October 31, 2026.
The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: 60 lb./SY 9.5 MM leveling course, 1 ½” bituminous overlay of 9.5 mm wearing course, 3’ wide 1 ½” to 0” curb side milling, design and installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, 6” depth milling, 3” of 19 mm bituminous wearing course (fine graded), placement of 6” of 2A stone subbase, and incidental milling and sealing.
