Tattnall County is soliciting sealed bids for the leveling, resurfacing, striping, shoulder grading, and shoulder paving of approximately 17.57 miles of county roads, including specific projects on Old Hwy 250 and various other local roads. The scope of work includes the application of recycled asphalt concrete, bituminous tack coats, and thermoplastic rumble strips, with all work adhering to GDOT Specifications and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control. A mandatory pre-bid construction meeting is scheduled for September 17, 2026, at the Tattnall County Courthouse, with the final bid deadline set for 10:00 a.m. on September 29, 2026. The contract award will be considered during the Commissioners Meeting on October 5, 2026, and the project must be completed by June 30, 2027, following a 14-day notice to proceed. To be eligible, contractors must provide a completed bid sheet along with their E-Verify number, workers compensation verification, and liability insurance verification. While a formal bond is not required, the contract will include a one-year written guarantee. The selected contractor is responsible for establishing a Quality Control Program and hiring a Georgia-approved, GDOT-prequalified independent pavement engineering firm for quality assurance. Tattnall County reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and may eliminate up to two miles of resurfacing if the total bid exceeds the available budget.
