This project consists of the construction of approximately 0.67 miles of new roadway along Magnolia Road in Tattnall County, generally following the existing unpaved alignment. The proposed roadway provides improved access to adjacent residential and agricultural properties and establishes a connection to U.S. Highway 280 to improve local mobility and connectivity. The roadway section includes 10-foot paved travel lanes with 2-foot shoulders and approximately 18-foot-wide roadside drainage ditches designed to convey stormwater runoff toward a 36-inch cross-drainage structure located beneath Curve #2. The project also includes the installation of fourteen paved driveway connections and associated driveway drainage pipes to maintain access and drainage continuity. Construction quantities include approximately 9,586 square yards of graded aggregate base course (GAB) and 1,617 tons of asphalt pavement. Most of the roadway will receive asphalt surfacing, with the final roadway segments transitioning to GAB surfacing. All work shall conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation¿s (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition; GDOT¿s Supplemental Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021; and all applicable GDOT Standards and Details; and other contract requirements, specifications and general conditions. ***SEE ATTACHED BID REQUEST**
