220011 4700 Area Paving STREETS

The State of Florida Department of Military Affairs is soliciting proposals for project 220011, which involves repaving Sandford, Woonsocket, New Haven, and Bonifay Streets at the Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in Starke, Florida. The scope of work includes removing grass from roadway edges, milling existing asphalt, applying FDOT approved tack product, and placing hot mix asphalt in two lifts. Additionally, the contractor must replace 11 culverts with like-for-like materials and add concrete mitered ends, perform roadside ditch cleaning, and handle all sod replacement and material disposal. A mandatory site visit and pre-bid meeting are required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Qualified contractors must be licensed under Florida Statutes Chapters 399, 455, 489, and 633 and provide a bid bond of at least five percent of the bid. For Level Four and Five contracts, additional prequalification is required, including proof of an active office within 300 road miles of the project and registration in MyFloridaMarketplace. The project must be substantially complete within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act and Davis-Bacon wage requirements is mandatory. The contractor is responsible for all site security, permits, and required inspections and testing.
