The ND NP THRO 204(1) Buck Hill Road project, managed by the Department of Transportation's Central Federal Lands Division, involves comprehensive roadway rehabilitation and landslide stabilization within Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Billings County, North Dakota. The scope of work is divided into three primary components: the rehabilitation of approximately three quarters of a mile of roadway including pulverization, new aggregate, hot asphalt concrete pavement, and guardrail replacement; the stabilization of a landslide through deep subexcavation of 1,000 linear feet to a depth of 10 feet with geosynthetic reinforcement and subsurface drainage; and the reconstruction and expansion of the Buck Hill Overlook parking lot to accommodate larger vehicles and tour buses. The parking area improvements include new pavement, accessible parking, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, and the installation of stone benches and trash receptacles. This project is designated as a Full and Open Competition with a HUBZone set-aside, with an estimated cost range between 5 million and 10 million dollars. Key project requirements include the presence of a Paleontological Monitor during all ground-disturbing activities, though the contractor is permitted to close Buck Hill Road for the duration of construction. The anticipated schedule includes advertisement in October 2026, award in January 2027, and construction running from April through November 2027. Bidders are required to bid the plans as provided, although the successful contractor may submit value engineering proposals for evaluation following the award. Major work items include 11,000 cubic yards of subexcavation, 2,000 tons of hot asphalt concrete, 5,000 tons of roadway aggregate, and over 5,000 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter.

23PGC Auditorium Renovation Consultant
Solicitation # 6100066579
The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a design professional to provide design, permitting, and bid specifications for the renovation of its Headquarters Auditorium in Harrisburg, PA. The project aims to modernize the facility by replacing obsolete audio-visual technology with a cutting-edge broadcasting platform, redesigning the stage layout for better functionality, and updating interior finishes such as flooring, walls, acoustic treatments, and ADA-compliant seating. The selected consultant will be responsible for developing a full specification package, including AutoCAD drawings and periodic cost estimates, while ensuring compliance with current UCC, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards. A critical constraint of this project is the construction phase, which is strictly limited to a six-month window from July 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027, during which the facility must remain occupied. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the JAGGAER portal no later than 2:00 PM on October 7, 2026. The selection process follows the Commonwealth Procurement Code and utilizes a scoring matrix that evaluates firms based on their capability to perform similar design services, geographic proximity to the project site, availability of experienced personnel, equitable distribution of contracts, and past performance with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Applicants are required to submit specific documentation, including the Design Professional Selection Application and participation forms for Small Diverse Businesses (SDB) and Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE). All certifications provided in the proposal are subject to legal penalties for falsification, and a valid contract is only established once a fully executed agreement is received from the Commission.
