The Food and Drug Administration is seeking the procurement of 25 custom-made microcalcification cluster templates. These templates will be utilized to train and test a deep learning model observer designed for the detection and localization of microcalcification clusters. This acquisition supports a broader project focused on developing a methodology to assess the task-based performance of Digital Breast Tomosynthesis using a physical phantom created by PhantomX. The project aims to implement a CADe-like observer to enhance performance assessment within this medical imaging framework.
