25--Inertial Measurement Units

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis for the following item: 1) Inertial Measurement units, P/N 6205-0021 3DM-GX1-SK1, Qty 17. This requirement is sole sourced to MicroStrain, Inc a small business at 310 Hurricane Lane Suite 4, Williston, Vermont 05495 as the only vendor. These units will be integrated into Mobile autonomous land targets that have already been developed and designed at China Lake. The design effort invested into this system has been great and the procurement of any different system would introduce risk of system failure if a costly redesign effort were not undertaken. Any firm believing that they can provide the Inertial Measurement units, P/N 6205-0021 3DM-GX1-SK1 may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the Inertial Measurement units, P/N 6205-0021 3DM-GX1-SK1 without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
