26-08 ASPHALT-RUBBER SURFACE TREATMENT STRESS ABSORBING MEMBRANE (SAM)

The Town of Wolcott is soliciting bids for the application of asphalt-rubber surface treatment stress absorbing membranes (SAM) on up to 10 miles of its roadways, requiring contractors to provide all labor, equipment, and materials in accordance with ASTM D6114 Type II modified binder standards and AASHTO T-96, T315, and R-26 specifications. Work must adhere to strict material performance criteria including binder application rates of 0.50 to 0.65 gallons per square yard and aggregate rates of 30 to 40 pounds per square yard, with all materials tested by an AASHTO-accredited laboratory and personnel holding NCPP certification under AASHTO TSP2.
