The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is soliciting the procurement of one newly manufactured, heavy-duty 17-18 foot aluminum semi-V bottom boat, including a marine engine of at least 50 horsepower and a heavy-duty steel trailer. The equipment is intended for use by Wildlife Biologists and must be constructed to the highest marine standards, complying with USCG, NMMA, and ABYC guidelines, as well as DOT and NHTSA requirements for the trailer. The vendor is responsible for the complete assembly and mounting of all components to ensure the unit is user-ready and fully operational upon pickup from the vendor's facility. All units must be ready for pickup by April 30, 2026, and the vendor must provide two weeks' notice of the potential completion date. Acceptance of the equipment is contingent upon the delivery of essential documentation, including the original invoice, manufacturer's certificates of origin for both the boat and trailer, OEM manuals, warranty cards, and a comprehensive owner/operator's manual. This contract is governed by the State of Illinois Standard Terms and Conditions, which include adherence to the State Prompt Payment Act, prevailing wage laws, and specific insurance requirements for worker's compensation. Payment is generally processed upon completion of the contract, subject to the availability of funds from the Illinois General Assembly or federal funding sources. All work created under this agreement is considered work for hire, with sole ownership granted to the State of Illinois.
