The South Jersey Port Corporation is soliciting proposals for trash removal services on an as-needed basis at the Balzano and Broadway Marine Terminals in Camden, New Jersey. The selected contractor will be responsible for the supply and removal of 40 CY and 4 CY volume containers placed at designated locations. The scope of work includes the removal of mixed solid waste and general debris, with the option to segregate and bill separately for recyclable wood dunnage and metal waste. Hazardous materials are strictly prohibited from these containers, and all waste disposal must comply with all applicable laws. The contract is established for an initial one-year period, with the possibility of up to two one-year renewal options. While estimated service volumes are provided, they do not constitute a guarantee of tonnage or yardage. Bidders are required to provide a Consent of Surety to ensure a performance bond can be supplied upon award. Additionally, the contract mandates strict adherence to Executive Order 151, requiring equal employment opportunity for women and minorities and providing opportunities for small business enterprises to participate.
