The Macon Water Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the supply of water and wastewater treatment chemicals, including liquid chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, hydrofluosilicic acid, sodium chlorite, sodium bisulfite, and aluminum sulfate, with approximate annual quantities specified for each item. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked “BID FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER CHEMICALS” and delivered to the Macon Water Authority Purchasing Department at 790 Second Street, Macon, Georgia, no later than 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, local time. All chemicals must comply with ANSI/NSF Standard 60, and bidders proposing alternative products must provide documentation proving equivalency. Each bid must include Material Safety Data Sheets and must be accompanied by a certification confirming compliance with specifications and absence of collusion or anti-competitive practices. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening, and the Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including those that are incomplete, irregular, or fail to meet submission requirements. Award is not guaranteed to the lowest bidder; instead, the Authority may select the offer that best serves its interests based on price, reputation, financial responsibility, experience, product suitability, and compliance. The contract is expected to commence on October 1, 2026, with a base term of one year and the option to extend for up to three additional one-year periods, totaling a maximum of four years. All deliveries are FOB Delivered, meaning the contractor bears all transportation costs and risks until materials are received at the Authority’s treatment facilities in Macon, Georgia. Each shipment must include a Certificate of Analysis and a certified weight ticket, and inspection and acceptance will occur at the point of delivery. No federal acquisition regulation clauses are incorporated, and the solicitation does not require Unique Entity ID, CAGE code, or socioeconomic certifications. Pricing is to be submitted by bidders for each chemical item, and no estimated contract value is provided. All submissions must be physical paper copies; electronic filings are not accepted.
