The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a sole source contract to Transoma Medical, Inc. for the procurement of sixteen units of two Biopotential Channels. These devices are essential for telemetry studies related to the Oxime Delivery Project, a program currently underway. Pursuing competition for this requirement or awarding the contract to any other supplier would cause significant delays, disrupt ongoing work, and increase costs to the government. This procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition procedures as outlined in FAR 6.302, as Transoma Medical is the only responsible source capable of meeting the agency’s needs. No solicitation number has been issued for this acquisition, but the reference number PR W74MYF8193N832 is provided. Interested parties are not being solicited for competitive quotes; however, any responses must be submitted in writing to demonstrate that another source can fulfill the government’s requirements and that competition would benefit the government. If no written evidence is received within 15 days of the public notice, the award will proceed without further notification. The designated point of contact for this procurement is [email hidden].
