27011-JS Godwin - Pilot Building Renovation

The City of Suffolk is seeking a qualified contractor for the Phase 2 First Floor Renovation of the Godwin-Virginian Pilot Building located at 157 N. Main Street, Suffolk, Virginia. The scope of work includes comprehensive building renovation, roof replacement, and parking lot improvements. A critical component of the project involves hazardous materials remediation, specifically the safe removal and handling of asbestos-containing materials and paint containing lead, cadmium, and chromium. The contractor is also required to provide a job-specific plan for the removal and storage of PCB-containing lighting ballasts and mercury-containing lamps.
