Full Description

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, intends to acquire the following: One LM2500+ Gas Generator, P/N L50021G03, with Shipping Container, P/N 106C7160G01 and One LM2500+ Power Turbine, P/N L50050G03, with Shipping Container P/N 106C7554G03. The equipment will be procured by placing a firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N0010400G0102 with General Electric Company, G.E. Aircraft Engines of Cincinnati, OH. The proposed contract action is for equipment for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this pro! posed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
