Emergency Grocery Supply – Fresh and Perishable GoodsThe contract involves the delivery of perishable and semi-perishable food items with controlled shelf lives for emergency stockpiling at a regional hospital under the Western Regional Health Authority, part of the Government of Jamaica. The goods are intended to maintain readiness for crises, requiring strict adherence to quality, temperature control, and expiration standards to ensure safety and usability during emergencies. The work falls under NAICS code 445110, indicating it is related to grocery store operations, and is structured as a subcontract, suggesting it may be part of a broader procurement network. Deliveries must be timely and reliable, with food items selected and packed to retain nutritional value and freshness under unpredictable conditions, prioritizing items with extended but safe shelf life without compromising on dietary or medical needs of hospital patients. The contract was posted on June 29, 2026, and while specific delivery schedules, volumes, or contract duration are not detailed, performance is tied to maintaining emergency preparedness at the regional facility. There is no set-aside classification indicated, meaning all eligible suppliers may compete, and the place of performance is not geographically specified beyond the regional hospital location. The procurement is managed through the Jamaica Electronic Public Procurement System, with further details accessible via the provided online portal. Suppliers are expected to comply with all health, transportation, and storage protocols necessary to ensure food safety during transit and storage in emergency scenarios.

Emergency Grocery Supply – Non-Perishable Food ItemsThe contract entails the supply of essential non-perishable food items to support disaster response inventory at Cornwall Regional Hospital under the Western Regional Health Authority, which operates under the Government of Jamaica. The procurement is classified as a subcontract within the grocery store and supermarket sector as defined by NAICS code 445110, indicating the focus is on bulk distribution of shelf-stable goods critical for emergency medical and humanitarian operations. The items will be used to maintain a readiness stockpile capable of sustaining patients, staff, and emergency responders during natural disasters or other public health crises when regular supply chains may be disrupted. The contract was posted on June 29, 2026, and is accessible through the Jamaican eProcurement portal, though no solicitation number or specific point of contact is provided. Performance is tied to the hospital’s location in western Jamaica, with no alternative delivery sites specified. The lack of set-aside classification suggests open competition is permitted without preference for small, minority, or local businesses, and while detailed requirements for product specifications, packaging, delivery schedules, or quantity thresholds are absent, the intent is clear: ensure uninterrupted access to nutritionally adequate, long-shelf-life provisions during emergencies.
